La Bombonera (Boca Juniors F.C)

La Bombonera (English pronunciation: The Chocolate Box).is home to Boca Juniors F.C in Bueonos Aires, arguably the most famous football club in Argentina. This is our favourite football stadium in the entire world and the atmosphere is incredible! 

Getting there: If you are going to a match to see Boca Juniors, See below on match tickets for transportation. If you are visiting to take photo's or take a tour, stay right here! As were were on holiday in Buenos Aires we took the hop on hop off tour and 'La Boca' is one of the stops where you will be dropped right outside the stadium. The Boca area in itself is amazing, really charismatic place. You can book hop on hop off tickets here

Taking a Stadium Tour - The Boca Juniors tour is incredible with close up views to the famous La Bombenera pitch. Great for photo's. A tour of the Boca Juniors stadium and museum will cost you around £16 per adult. Tickets can be booked here or you can show up at the stadium to buy them. Tours last a very good value 3 hours on each hour from 10am. 

Match Tickets What an experience! Simply the best! We watched Boca Juniors beat Godoy Cruz 2-1. All tickets for Boca Juniors belong to season ticket holders. However you can attend a a guided match as part of a full experience but you will pay a premium for this. We think it was worth every penny! You should expect to pay around £133 per adult for a game. However this includes your ticket, transport to and from the game to your hotel or meeting point, an escorted guide who will show you to your seat and stay with you, all your beer and soft drnks and also food! We felt it truly was excellent value and felt very safe. Do join in with the songs and take in the atmosphere. We also recommend wearing a Boca Juniors shirt, but you do not have to. Please note the guide will ask you for your season ticket back after the game so you cannot keep this as a souvenir.
